Kent Sluyter is the president of Prudential Annuities. Prudential’s Annuities business offers income solutions for consumers through the manufacture and distribution of a portfolio of annuity products. Prudential Annuities is a business unit of Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU).
As president, Sluyter is responsible for driving the results and evolution of the Annuities business while leveraging its capabilities to achieve differentiated outcomes across the enterprise.
Previously, Sluyter was chief executive officer of Prudential Individual Life Insurance and Prudential Advisors. Prudential’s Individual Life Insurance business manufactures and distributes a broad portfolio life insurance products. Prudential Advisors is Prudential’s nationwide captive sales organization, consisting of more than 3,000 financial professionals.
Sluyter joined Prudential in 1981 and during his career has held leadership positions within the Insurance division, including Actuarial, Underwriting, and Operations & Technology.
Sluyter holds a bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®). He serves as Chairman of the Life Insurance Committee for the American Council of Life Insurers and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Montclair State University.
